The Beastie Boys played a huge part in all of our upbringings, so when we learned the news of Adam Yauch’s (MCA) passing on May 4, 2012, we decided to pay tribute right then and there, and try out a bluesy cover of “So What’cha Want”. We performed it live on “Jam In The Van”, and it drew a wonderful response, and quickly became an often requested song at our shows. This unreleased version was made years ago, recorded in the living room (like all the music on the Rarities release), but has never been heard until now. We made this video with an iPhone, very quickly, amateur style, but it seems to retain the spirit of it all. Check Your Head!
